I am so happy today. Just received the news that Beyond the doughnut is featured in Town & Country! A moment of absolute joy that I will treasure forever. It’s good to see my “Doughnut” going places and getting the love it deserves.

I feel very privileged to be featured in the latest editions of Edition Dog magazine. The April 2020 issue included a photo of Fred that I’ve taken last year. It came as a total surprise and made me feel so proud as a photograher – and also very happy to see my wonderful boy smiling at me from a glossy page. It’s always been one of my favourite photos of him, so this is extra special.
Last week I also got a June copy. They featured English cocker spaniel as the breed in focus and interviewed me as an expert for the wonderful article. It was such a pleasure to chat with Paige Nicole who wrote the piece and spent time with me talking about dogs, my boys, Oscar, Perfect cocker spaniel, puppies and life in general.
If you fancy a copy, the mag is sold in shops and can also be ordered online, which is particularly useful if you’d like to grab back issues or prefer to go digital.

I have tried to digest and get used to the sensation of seeing my book in magazines, but it’s still a pinch-me moment that feels surreal.
I feel proud for completing the mammoth task of writing and editing the book and sending it off into the big world for all to see. And then there is the other part of me that feels happy yet overwhelmed by the retuning heart-aching reminder of the very reason for writing Perfect cocker spaniel.
So I’ll keep the news short.
Last week the book made it to the Edition Dog, the mag written by the dog experts for the dog lovers. Which makes it one of the ultimate destinations I could only dream of.
It looks beautiful. They’ve given me an entire page. And there is a photo of me and Oscar.
I did a happy little dance. And I did cry a little, too. It felt like an early Christmas present.
